The Company is engaged in the exploration and development of the Atlanta Gold project
(“Atlanta”), an advanced-stage gold property near Atlanta, Idaho, U.S.A.
Atlanta is the cornerstone of the Company’s future. It is located in a stable jurisdiction with
minimal political risk in which mineral development rules are well known and a skilled
workforce is available. The project has exceptional exploration potential, at a time when the
demand for gold is increasing and supply is limited.
In early 2008, the Company changed the mining strategy for Atlanta from bulk mining
and cyanide heap leaching, to a combined shallow open-pit and underground operation
with an on-site milling facility with no cyanide circuit. This new mining strategy will
produce both a gravity concentrate and a precious metal rich sulphide concentrate to
be custom smelted. It will also reduce the environmental footprint by 95% and increase
expected metal recovery rates from 63% to 90%. Each of these improvements is critical to
the sustainable development of the Atlanta gold mine.
This more selective method of ore extraction positively addresses environmental concerns
identified during previous permitting efforts. Management is confident that by working
closely with environmental groups, the town of Atlanta and surrounding communities,
federal, state and local agencies as well as other stakeholders, it will be successful in obtaining
the regulatory approvals necessary to develop a combined shallow pit and an underground
mine at Atlanta in a timely manner.

James K. Gray, O.C., has been a director of the Company since March 15, 2000 and its Chairman since August 4, 2006. For the past 50 years, Mr. Gray has been engaged in the oil and natural gas exploration business in Western Canada.  In 1973, Mr. Gray co-founded Canadian Hunter Exploration Ltd., one of Canada's larger natural gas producers, serving in the positions of Executive Vice President, President and CEO, and Chairman until the company was purchased by Burlington Resources in December 2001. Mr. Gray also serves as a director of Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (formerly Brascan Company), Canadian National Railways and Phoenix Technology Income Fund.  He is also non-executive Chairman of Temple Energy Inc., a private oil and gas exploration company, and a member of the Advisory Board of Lazard Canada, a subsidiary of Lazard Brothers & Co. Limited.

W. Warren Holmes, P.Eng., was a director of the Corporation from January 13, 2005 until April 12, 2006. He was reappointed a director and appointed Executive Vice Chairman of the Corporation on January 15, 2008. Mr. Holmes has 40 years of mining industry experience including with Noranda Inc. (1964 -1986) where he became Vice President and General Manager of Pamour Porcupine Mines Limited and Falconbridge Limited (1986 - 2002) where he became Senior Vice-President - Canadian Mining Operations.  Mr. Holmes is presently Chairman of Nuinsco Resources Limited and Victory Nickel Inc. He is also a director of several public resource companies and research organizations, and holds an engineering degree from Queen's University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

William (Bill) J. C. Baird was appointed as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation on August 4, 2006, and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer on January 15, 2008, and at the same time, resigned as director of the Corporation. Mr. Baird has over 20 years of senior experience with a number of mining and exploration companies including 10 years with Teck Cominco Limited. Prior to his appointment as Interim CEO, Mr. Baird was a consultant to the Corporation and to other companies in the mining, land management and high technology / data utility industries.

Wm. Ernest (Ernie) Simmons was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation on January 15, 2008. Mr. Simmons has over 40 years of senior experience with a number of mining and exploration companies.

Domenico Bertucci, the Acting Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation, prior to joining the Corporation in July 1997 worked as an independent financial consultant and, prior thereto, was the Controller and Secretary Treasurer of Oxbridge Securities Inc. and articled with Laventhol & Horwath, Chartered Accountants. Mr. Bertucci received his chartered accountant designation in 1991.
